Challenge
A US product company had an established Mac environment, but needed more expertise to manage and improve its Apple device management platform.
Its IT team did not just need someone who could troubleshoot macOS. It needed a professional, based in India, who could also run an enterprise MDM environment. That combination is harder to find than it sounds: many CVs list “Mac support”, but far fewer show real experience administering MDM.
Our Approach
TexArxs IT Talent focused the search on candidates with hands-on experience in ten areas:
- macOS administration
- Jamf Pro or another enterprise MDM
- Apple Business (formerly Apple Business Manager)
- Automated Device Enrollment
- Zero-touch deployment
- Configuration profiles
- App deployment
- macOS security controls
- Device compliance
- Troubleshooting MDM issues
Rather than treating MDM as a secondary skill, we made it a core requirement when evaluating every candidate. Candidates without real MDM experience did not reach the shortlist.
Shortlisted candidates then went through our standard vetting: a structured technical round based on the job description, run by a TexArxs engineer, with each candidate scored on technical depth and working style. The company received candidate cards with those scores, so it could compare people fairly before meeting them.
Outcome
The company gained an India-based IT professional skilled in Apple devices who can support both day-to-day Mac operations and longer-term endpoint management work, including:
- Mac provisioning
- MDM policy administration
- App deployment
- Security configuration
- Device compliance
- macOS upgrades
- Troubleshooting deployment issues
Key Takeaway
When an organisation depends heavily on Apple devices, finding someone who understands both the Mac user experience and enterprise MDM can strengthen IT operations. That is why we vet for hands-on MDM experience, not just keywords on a CV.
